OVERVIEW • Unqualified Audit Report (limited audit findings); • Operated as a Trust until 31 March 2009 – project driven and capital intensive; • New Council was appointed from 1 April 2009; • Successful application to National Treasury for supplementary funding of R334 m for completion of Phase IIB of the Freedom Park (to complete the Park as initially planned to include e.g. administrational offices); • Successful application to National Lotteries Board for funding of R30,247 m for exhibition development during Phase IIA of the Freedom Park (//hapo to open during May 2010).
