Team Formation in Oil Sector • This is a common practice in Oil Sector to form a team to accomplish desired results (short/long term). • Generally, role of the team is either to investigate or to provide recommendations on certain business matters. • Team may consist of members from • Same group/ department or • Several groups within same company or • Different K companies or • K companies and other external parties Kuwait Petroleum Corporation

Structured Reflection on Team Performance The Idea The Idea of Structured Reflection on Team Performance conceived during attending K-Lead Training Model -3 specifically on the Airplane Assembly Exercise Day. Source of information is accumulated team member’s experience and internet research. What is Structured Reflection? Structured Reflection is a process to reflect team performance in a systematic and timely manner. Why is Structured Reflection required? Structured reflection technique facilitates positively to help team in achieving their goals. Reflection frequency depends on • Complexity of team objective • Size of team • Duration of work • Nature of challenges Kuwait Petroleum Corporation

How Structured Reflection can be Implemented: • There should be facilitator. • Role of Facilitator can be assigned to any team member or can be performed by Team Leader. • Facilitator should discuss with the team, the performance upto that moment in open and positive manner. • Team should evaluate members’ role. How Structured Reflection can be Implemented: • Team should evaluate performance and come up with a plan to implement based on this structured reflection. • Team should • Keep members motivated • Share knowledge • Have open discussion • Celebrate success • Acknowledge individuals’ efforts Kuwait Petroleum Corporation
