  2. Exclamations An exclamation is a sentence that shows strong feeling.

  3. An exclamation starts with a capital letter just like all sentences start with a capital letter. An exclamation ends with an exclamation mark! An exclamation has a naming part and an action part.

  4. The baby bird is in trouble! Capital Letter Exclamation Mark This sentence is an exclamation. It shows lots of feeling that the baby bird is in trouble!

  5. The bird fell out of its nest! Capital Letter Exclamation Mark This sentence is an exclamation. It shows a lot of feeling that the bird fell out of its nest!

  6. The baby bird is hurt! Capital Letter Exclamation Mark This is an exclamation. It shows a lot of feeling that the bird is hurt!

  7. It loves bugs to eat! Capital Letter Exclamation Mark This is an exclamation. It shows a lot of feeling that the bird loves to eat bugs!

  8. The bird is better now. Capital Letter Period This is NOT an exclamation. This sentence is a telling sentence. It tells you that the bird is better now.

  9. I am so happy the bird is better! Capital Letter Exclamation Mark This is an exclamation. It shows a lot of feeling that the bird is better!

  10. Can you find the exclamation? The bird flies high! Why is the bird on the ground? I watch the bird fly.

  11. Can you find the exclamation? The poor kitten is crying! Where does it live? I will find its home.

  12. Can you find the exclamation? Stand on your head. Joe can stand on his head! Can you stand on your head?
