  2. Skomer Island • On Thursday 4thOctober 2012 some year 5&6 children went to the marine conservation at Martins Haven, Pembrokeshire. We saw Skomer Island from a viewpoint. We learnt lots of information to share with you. We met some experts who talked to us about the marine nature reserve, sustainable fishing, tourism, the national Pembrokeshire coast path and lobsters.

  3. SEALS • Jacob, Jonathan and Jack saw one seal pup on the beach at Martins Haven. It was the first time we had seen a seal pup. We were told that there were about 100 pup seals around the coastline of Martins Haven.

  4. Lobster pot Did you know that lobster fishing is very sustainable because it doesn’t harm the fish. This is Mr Nick Davis with Hannah and Sophie carrying one of Mr Davis’s lobster pots. The lobster pots are all over Skomer Island. Mr Nick Davis said that there is thousands of lobsters all around the island.

  5. Puffins • There are over 10,000 breeding pairs of puffins on Skomer island • Puffins only come once a year
