The Program • Precalculus – 5 days a week, 7 weeks

The Program • Precalculus – 5 days a week, 7 weeks • Calculus I – 5 days a week, 7 weeks • Receive 6 hours of credit – 3 towards the engineering major – 3 general elective – all transferable
The Program • Eligibility – Based on SAT/ACT Mathematics scores • SAT – 550 and 630 • ACT - 24 and 27 • Enrolled in English Composition I preferable
The Program • Student has option to change to a regular Precalculus class within first 2 weeks
The Program • Student has option to change to a regular Precalculus class within first 2 weeks • Student can complete Precalculus and choose to withdraw from Calculus I

The Results • Completed 2 years • Fall, 2004 • 33 students enrolled • 26 successfully completed Precalculus • 23 successfully completed Calculus I • 18 successfully completed Calculus II
The Results • Fall, 2005 • 37 enrolled • 26 successfully completed Precalculus • 27 successfully completed Calculus I • 1 student with a D in Precalc. successfully completed Calc I • 18 successfully completed Calculus II • Several students changed major so only 22 attempted Calc. II
Conclusion • A total of 35 students were ready for Calculus III or Differential Equations in their 3rd semester
