BNEVC: Who We Are • A branch of the Burnaby North Business Club, sponsored by Junior Achievement • Launched in November 2010 • 21 dedicated members in Grades 10 to 12 • Participants of the ‘Junior Achievement Company of the Year Competition’

What is ECPC? ECPC is a program which: • Aims to educate children in Kindergarten to Grade 4 • Personal Care • Hygiene Habits • Provides a more relatable, refreshing take on health education • Consists of: • Informative Story Booklet • Progress Calendar • Collection of everyday personal care items
Why ECPC? Current Trends Currently, no personal care program exists
Why ECPC?Needs • Lack of focus on hygiene and personal care • Curriculum is scattered and not standardized in our education system • A need to introduce awareness to local elementary school students
Why ECPC?Benefits • Educators, parents and students will benefit from this program in a fun method of learning • Teachers and parents will use the kit to complement their own lessons • Students will start practicing good personal hygiene habit at an early age • Henry and Emily • Two young vibrant characters promoting the usage of personal care items during their adventure in the jungle
ExecutionCritical Path • Grants, Council Shares, Shares • Bank Account in 1 week • Ordering Package Materials, Print Publications (GFX Noise) • Produce Sample Packages • One week to visit all schools • Being immediately after samples are completed • 1 week to visit all elementary schools • 1.5 weeks to complete orders • 1 week later, collect forms • 1 day for production of kits • Evaluation Forms – One week to acquire • Final report
FinancePre-Production • Start-up costs ~ $400 • Includes sample kits, brochures, and cost of designing • Sample kits allows BNEVC to provide examples to elementary school students, parents and teachers
FinanceFunding • Two sources of funding • Student Government • Internal Investments • Shares issued to investors • Sale of Shares facilitated by Junior Achievement • Investors will received dividends at the end of the project
FinanceProfit • Proposed Selling Price: $12 • BNEV will issue dividends to its investors and reinvest for next year’s operations
