  2. Summer Pay Election • Payroll Summer Pay Election is offered to all employees working less than a 241-day calendar • Employees will enter their elections via ESS (Employee Self-Service) • Employees MUST have Direct Deposit to participate in the Summer Pay Election process 4/6/2006

  3. Summer Pay Election Process Change for 2006-07 • New Hires and employees returning from leaves of absence may participate from July 1 – August 25, 2006 • Traffic Light color coded screens Red Stop and Read Green Go and Proceed 4/6/2006

  4. Summer Pay Election • On-Line Wizard • Calculate amount of summer pay checks • Print Confirmation Screen • No Tax Deductions • Summer Pay check amounts have already been taxed 4/6/2006

  5. Summer Pay Election • Summer Pay Election period will be opened (TBD) • # of Paychecks is subject to change based on yearly board approved calendars • Employees cannot change their Payroll option after the election period ends 4/6/2006

Summer Pay Election • All current Summer Pay deductions for 2005-06 school year will be end dated 6/30/06 • Eligible employees must enter a deduction amount in ESS if they want Summer Pay checks for 2007 • Employees opting for Contract Calendar Payments do not need to make an election in ESS 4/6/2006

  7. Summer Pay Election • Employees must have Direct Depositprior to Summer Pay Election period • BECON and CAB will be the resources for information about the Summer Pay Election 4/6/2006

  8. ESS Reminders • Please have your staff login to ESS prior to Summer Pay Election period to resolve any login/password problems • Users planning to complete their ESS Summer Pay Election from home, should review the District Technical Standards and compare them to their home computer 4/6/2006

New Training & Events Options in ESS • New ESS Option for Employees • Search Training Events • Search and register for workshops by title, audience or BET/BE number dated 7/1/01 - 6/30/06 • View Attendance • Cancel Attendance • View All Cancelled Workshops • Print Booking Confirmation List 4/6/2006
