  3. The witness of John The Baptist 1:19-1:34 • “I am not the Christ” • “Look, there is the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world… HE existed before me” • “I baptise with water… he will baptise with Holy Spirit”

  4. The first disciples Jn 1:35-51 • “Look, there is the Lamb of God” • “What do you want”… “Come and see” • Teacher to Messiah • Messiah to Son of God • Son of God = the King of Israel

  5. The wedding at Cana • “Woman, why turn to me?” • “My hour has not yet come”

  6. Cleansing of the Temple • “Stop turning my Father’s house into a market” • “Destroy this sanctuary, and I will raise it up” • “The disciples understood this only after Jesus rose from the dead”

  7. Washing of the feet • “He always love those who were his in the world, but now he showed how perfect is his love” • “If I do not wash you, you can have nothing in common with me”
