Gun Control. Period 1 3/6/13. Thesis. I think there should be gun control because a lot of people get shot everyday It’s not safe and there is a lot of crazy people out there. A lot of people aren't responsible or don ’ t know the consequences that are out there. Pro’s.

  1. Gun Control Period 1 3/6/13

  2. Thesis • I think there should be gun control because a lot of people get shot everyday • It’s not safe and there is a lot of crazy people out there. • A lot of people aren't responsible or don’t know the consequences that are out there.

  3. Pro’s • According to a July 2001 peer-reviewed study says approximately 50 people are shoot everyday • About 10 children under 15 die everyday because they got shot • Handguns are not an effective form of self-defence a nov. 2009 study says that someone that carys a gun for self-defence was 4 ½ more likely to get shot

  4. Summary • Crimes are increasing with robberies and violent crimes.

  5. Counter Argument’s • The right to carry a handgun is the second amendment • According to a 1997 study of national crime says “robbery and assault victims who used guns at resist were less likely to be attacked

  6. Conclusion • I think guns should be banned because too many people get shoot everyday . Those are my reasons there should be gun control

  7. Interesting Facts • Close to 33,000 Americans were victims of gun-related deaths in 2011. • States with stricter gun control laws have fewer deaths from gun-related violence.
