This guide outlines the process for students interning in Thailand during the academic year 2012 to claim allowances from the ISE office in cases where no allowance is provided by the internship organization. Students interning in Bangkok and nearby provinces can claim a lump-sum allowance of 1,000 THB, while those in other provinces may receive up to 1,500 THB, along with actual accommodation and transportation costs within specified limits. Instructions on how to submit the claim are also provided.

Claiming for Internship Facilitation • Student Interned in Thailand for Academic year 2012 Internship : If the student do not receive any allowance from the interned organization, he/she is eligible to claim for the allowance from ISE office depending on their location of internship : • Students Interned in Bangkok and nearby provinces (Nontaburi, Patumtani, Samutprakarn) can claim for lump-sum allowance of 1000 THB. • Student who intern in other provinces than mentioned above can claim for : 1. Lump-sum allowance of 1500 THB. 2. Actual accommodation cost but not more than 2000 THB. 3. Actual transportation cost but not more than 1000 THB.
To claim for Local Intern Allowance • If you interned in Thailand and do not receive any allowance from interned organization, when both of your supervisorand ISE committee have submitted your evaluation result (tentatively not more than 2 weeks after your last day of internship), there will be a reimbursement section appearing in your internship page (above Organization Information section) • There will be an icon “Print form’ next to Local Allowance, click on that icon. • Print the form / Fill in your information / Sign • Attach the required document mentioned in the form and submit to ISE office by the deadline announced.
