  9. Pine Hills NID PHNID Community Vision Statement Pine Hills is a diverse, multi-cultural community that seeks to preserve its rich history as a family-oriented community, create a safe, business-friendly environment, and offer our citizens a place to live, work, play and learn.

  10. Pine Hills NID PHNID Mission Statement The Pine Hills NID shall serve to strengthen our community through partnerships with local business leaders, citizens, government institutions and non-profit organizations with a focus on expanding local community commerce, improving business infrastructure, removing business impediments, and controlling messaging and communications in social and traditional media.

  11. Pine Hills NID PHNID Goals • Goal #1: Effectively organize businesses and property owners to support the NID. • Goal #2: Improve the public image and marketability of Pine Hills while enhancing economic development opportunities within the district.

Pine Hills NID 2012-13 Activities • Installed decorative crosswalk on Silver Star Road and Pine Hills Road • Support Brownfield designation • Hired Executive Director • Launched “Pine Hills Pillars” Initiative • Developed a landscape design for Silver Star Road • Developed website and marketing material

Task 4 – Create and Sustain Strong Neighborhoods Proposed Projects/Programs • Develop and implement a Neighborhood Improvement Plan.

Pine Hills NID 2013-14 Work Plan Task 5 - PHNID Marketing Initiative Proposed Projects/Programs • Develop and implement a Marketing Strategy for Pine Hills Business District. • Develop and Promote Pine Hills’ “On the Rise!” Story • Develop a Pine Hills Business Directory. • Partner with Pine Hills Community Council to promote “Shop Pine Hills” an existing buy local initiative. • Develop and implement a vacant property occupancy program to reduce vacant inventory within the District.

Pine Hills NID 2013-14 Work Plan Task 6 - PHNID Crime Prevention Proposed Projects/Programs • Continue a relationship with the Pine Hills Safe Neighborhood Partnership • Implement a Business Watch Program for the District. • Partner with Orange County Sheriff’s Department to enhance and build community relations and create partnerships between law enforcement, businesses and citizens. • Develop and implement a “Crime Prevention through Environmental Design” Plan
