  1. My presentation… “I believe the final quote from the poem best represents it as a whole. Owen described to us the horrific conditions that soldiers were exposed to, and the emotional stress they were under. My visual is a father returned from war with his young adult son. As the son is expecting to hear stories of honor and glory defending the country, the father can only think of the pain that will forever burden his heart, and the face of a fellow soldier drowning in his own blood. My visual represents the text because the father knows he viewed defending his country with the same wondrous eyes as the boy in front of him, and wonders why such a lie was imbedded in him.”
