  5. ENSURE THAT ALL CLINICAL STAFF SEE THE COLLECTION AND USE OF DATA AS A TRUE REFLECTION OF PATIENT CARE • SEE THE SSCA AS PART OF HOW WE CARE FOR PATIENTS AND ENCOURAGE CLINICAL STAFF TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROCESSES • UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS CORE BUSINESS AND NOT SOMETHING DONE FOR THEM OR TOO THEM!

  6. IDENTIFIED CSW TO WORK WITH THE STROKE NURSE TO INPUT DATA AND COLLECT THIS DATA AS PART OF A DAILY MDT • RAPID QUESTIONING OF PATIENT JOURNEY IN RELATION TO STANDARDS • DAILY FEEDBACK ON PERFORMANCE

  7. USE STANDARDS AND ASSOCIATED DATA AS TEMPLATE FOR CEWG/QUALITY AGENDA • DEVELOP A DYNAMIC WORKPLAN WITH ALL CLINICIANS, DISPLAY PERFORMANCE RESULTS IN CLINICAL AREAS • SHARE GOALS AND STIMULATE HEALTHY COMPETITION!

  8. ADMISSION TO STROKE UNIT • Empowering staff to outreach to A&E/receiving unit to increase the profile of the stroke unit and the specialist staff • SU staff to realise that all strokes are their business and not only those already in the SU. • Improved discharge planning process to create capacity.
