  2. Agriscience • All jobs relating in some way to plants, animals, and renewable natural resources. • Also, the application of scientific principles and new technologies to agriculture.

  3. Production Agriculture • The science, art, or occupation of cultivating the soil, producing crops, or raising livestock (farming).

  4. Agribusiness • The manufacture and distribution of farm supplies to the production agriculturist, and the storage, processing, marketing, transporting, and distribution of agricultural materials and consumer products that were produced by production agriculturalists.

  5. Agribusiness • Businesses that provide the products that farmers need to raise crops & livestock as well as market the products and get them to the consumers.

  6. Ag. Supplies & Services • Businesses that sell supplies or provide services to people in production agriculture and agriscience.

  7. Ag. Mechanics • The design, operation, maintenance, service, selling, and use of power units, machinery, equipment, structures, and utilities in agriscience.

  8. Ag. Processing, Products, & Distribution • Those parts of the industry that haul, grade, process, package, and market commodities from production sources.

  9. Natural Resources & Forestry • Management of wetlands, rangelands, water, fish, wildlife, and forests.

  10. Horticulture • Producing, processing, and marketing fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants (trees, shrubs, flowers used for beauty).

  11. Ag. Professions • Occupations requiring specialized education, especially in law, science, teaching, etc.

  12. Agricultural Economics • Application of economic concepts to agriculture problems. • How humans choose to use technical knowledge and resources to produce food & fiber, and distribute it for consumption. • Deals with Money!

  13. Agrimarketing • Those processes, functions, and services performed in connection with food and fiber from the farms on which they are produced until their delivery into the hands of the consumer.
