Since November 2008, the AIM Metadata Requirements and Business Rules Integrated Process Team (IPT) has made significant strides in establishing metadata standards. We've engaged with IPT members to discuss annotation conventions and partnered with organizations like the Veteran's Administration and universities for open-source development. Currently, the VA is testing the AIM LOM toolset for possible adoption. We seek ongoing support from AIM management and FRB members to improve user-friendly metadata completion and explore indexing tool developments while gathering unique category elements for incorporation into AIM.
