  1. Warm-up (day 5)

  2. Technology Enhanced Items (TEI) questions will be incorporated into each unit, each assessment & on your Geometry SOL. So the more practice we get, the easier they will be  On Google Classroom, you will finda folder with TEI questions from each unit. Please print each of set/unit (you can print more than one question on a page, if you would like) and complete these questions throughout the unit. These questions will be due & graded on the day of each unit test!

  3. p.

  4. When writing the equation of circles…. • POOP “pull out opposites when writing the equation”

  5. Ex: is a diameter of (where do you think K is located?) A(-3, 2) and B(5, 4). Write the equation of the circle & precisely graph the circle!

  6. Write and graph an equation of a circle with center (2, -3) and radius is 5. (When graphing you must plot at least FOUR points on the circle!)

  7. Write the equation of the circles

  8. Given: (x + 5)2 + (y – 2)2 = 64 Center (-5, 2) Radius 8 Which points lie on the ? (-5, 10) (0, -2) (-5, -8) (0 , 9) (-15, -5) (3, 2)

  9. Given: (x + 2)2 + (y – 3)2 = 16 • Identify the center and diameter. • Identify at least 5 points on the circle • Now, connect Points….is it a circle? Ellipse?

  10. *Quiz*When you finish, come see me for extra practice with a circle activity

  11. Circle Match Activity (15 minutes) • Pick one partner. You objective is to match the circle graph with the Center and radius and the equation. • Copy the chart below (one per group) and put your first, last names and block. We will do #9 as a class, make sure you write the answers down.
