  2. Linksys RE6300 Setup Steps Here's a brief setup guide for the Linksys RE6300 range extender: Unbox the Linksys RE6300 and gather all components. Place the extender between your router and the desired Wi-Fi dead zone. Connect the extender to a power outlet using the provided adapter. On your device, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to "Linksys Extender Setup - xxx" network (xxx represents the last three characters of the extender's MAC address). Open a web browser and enter "192.168.1.1" in the address bar. To initiate the configuration process, click the "Start Setup" button.

  3. Choose the connection type: "Wireless" for wireless extension or "Wired" for a wired connection. If wireless, select your existing Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Create a new network name (SSID) and password for the extended network. Save the settings and wait for the extender to reboot.
