  3. Melodramatic Music - Orchestra • Melodrama music was live. It was often sung, or there was an orchestra. • The orchestra and musicians were placed in an area called the orchestra pit. • Composers: • Rockstro’s – ‘Queen and huntress’ • Bennett’s- ‘May Dew’ • Loewe’s- “Erlkonig” • Schubert's- “Wohin” • Arnie’s- “Waterparted from the sea”
