  3. FLEXIMUV CAPSULE Composition: Each capsule contains: Curcuma longa extract (Turmeric) : 100 mg. Glycyrrhiza glabra extract (Licorice) : 100 mg. Valeriana wallichii powder(Tagar) : 60 mg. Withania somnifera extract (Ashwagandha) : 50 mg. Commiphora mukul extract (Guggul) : 50 mg. Vitex negundo extract (Nirgundi) : 50 mg. Apium graveolens extract (Ajmod) : 50 mg. Trigonella foenum-graecum extract (Methi) : 50 mg. Excipients : q.s. Indications: For relief from inflammatory conditions of Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis.

Pharmacological studies of Fleximuv Capsule Anti-inflammatory activity: Fleximuv capsule (200 mg/kg) showed 97 % activity as compared to Celecoxib (200 mg/kg.) and 77 % activity as compared to Diclofenac (50 mg/kg.) Analgesic activity: Fleximuv capsule (200 mg/kg) showed 99 % activity as compared to Diclofenac (50 mg/kg.) Ulcerogenic potential: In comparison to Aspirin (500 mg/kg.), Fleximuv showed –16.7 % reduction in ulcer index

Toxicity studies of Fleximuv Capsule • Acute oral toxicity on rats: LD50 as a single dose is more than 2 g/kg. b.w. • Acute oral toxicity on mice: LD50 as a single dose is more than 2 g/kg. b.w. • Sub- Acute oral toxicity on rats: NOAEL level over 28 days was 50 mg/kg b.w. • Sub- Acute oral toxicity on mice: NOAEL level over 28 days was 50 mg/kg b.w.

  7. FLEXIMUV CAPSULE SAFETY & TOLERANCE STUDIES IN HUMAN VOLUNTEERS Total no. of volunteers : 25 Dose : 500 mg. – 2 g. / patient/ day Treatment period : 1 week Results: No adverse or toxic reactions during the study. No significant changes in haematological and biochemical parameters were seen.

  8. CLINICAL TRIALS OF FLEXIMUV CAPSULE Aim of study : To assess the efficacy of Fleximuv capsule in Osteoarthritis of knee Center : M.Y. Hospital, Indore Total no. of patients : 100, fifty in each group Comparitive drug : Rofecoxib Duration of study : 6 weeks Age group : 45 to 70 years Dose : 1 & 2 capsule, twice daily
