  1. Hardtack Pirate Biscuits As part of the Year 1 and Year 2 Pirate theme, the children enjoyed making authentic pirate ‘Hardtack’ biscuits. Ingredients 
250g plain flour 25g butter 150ml of skimmed milk ¼ teaspoon sea salt Method Preheat the oven to200C Measure out the flour and place in a mixing bowl. Add the sea salt and mix. Melt the butter and add to the milk and mix into the flour mixture until a dough forms. Roll out the dough until 5mm thick and cut biscuits. Bake on a baking tray for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown!
