  1. 7-Step Problem Solving Process with Basic Quality Tools June 12, 2012 | White Marsh, MD General Motors Company LLC GM Baltimore Operations, formerly Allison Transmission, was opened in 2000 as a breakthrough initiative between GM, UAW and local/state government to develop a state of the art manufacturing environment with people at its core. This 500,000 sq. ft. facility was designed to be worker-friendly with natural light, clean white surroundings, safe and ergonomically designed work stations. GM's Powertrains represent “GM quality under the hood.” For 2012, GM's global line-up of advanced Powertrains is dedicated to driving consumers further on a gallon of fuel. For the 2012 model year, many of GM’s Powertrains are equipped with features such as Direct Injection, Variable Valve Timing and Flex Fuel applications that allow for an overall, better driving experience, while improving fuel economy.
