  11. State Project Work Plan Goal #1:Build the capacity of the formal education community to implement research based approaches proven to increase the participation and completion of females, including those with disabilities, in STEM education.

Goal #1 • Conduct Professional Development through existing conferences, workshops and organizational meetings; • Construct modules that can be delivered and viewed by people at any time; • Reach out to other projects and people to join the state team; • Participate in webinars and Virtual Learning Community

Goal #2: • Institutionalize the strategies implemented by connecting the outcomes to existing accountability systems: • Conduct statewide data analysis of Perkins, WINSS or WTCS data, and Labor Market data and create short compelling fact sheets • Work to align the secondary and post-secondary Perkins data systems • Determine new ways to analyze data by economic development regions in the state • Develop online mechanism for success story reporting on girls/women and underserved students in STEM in WI

Goal #3: • Broaden the commitment to gender equity in STEM education: • Create and develop a state team to provide leadership within the seven economic development regions • Connect with other initiatives, conferences, and organizations in the state. • Build the gender and other equity commitment and competence within and through Wisconsin STEM initiatives, organizations and the public.
