In Fall 2009, a survey of 33 Finnish university campuses was conducted as part of the GN3/NA3/T4 "Campus Best Practice" initiative, focusing on WLAN networks, eduroam authentication, and encryption. Results indicated that 10 campuses were using eduroam, with 8 planning to join within a year. Key issues identified included supplicant configuration, resource access, and user database management. Recommendations include the need for assistance in WLAN planning, centralized documentation, enhanced RADIUS guidelines, and evaluations of Cisco and HP WLAN configurations.
