  3. Why are we doing this? Media History 1980 to 1999: Few videos made 2000 to 2007: Jon Wong made the videos (TCCC) 2008 to 2009: Vince Kwan made the videos (BTBC)
  4. Why are we doing this? 2010: A major team assembled. Highlights on YouTube
  5. Why are we doing this? 2011: No banquet video. Photo slideshow only. Nobody came back from last year. It was draining.
  6. Why are we doing this? 2012: Another Media Team was in charge. The editor from CPC said he was drained.
  7. Why are we doing this? 2013: One uncle from CGCS volunteered to film. August: Nobody available to make Banquet Video
  8. Why are we doing this? Same feedback every year: “Our team is not shown!” Past volunteers: burned out or reduced coverage. Family album: Everyone is loved & appreciated 2013 STATISTICS 74 Teams. Over 1,700 players Peak Season: up to 54 Games across 9 Diamonds League had 2 regular members filming the games Consistent Problem: We cannot be everywhere at once! SOLUTION: Get the community to contribute!

General Tips & Knowledge Notable photo entries can be shown at the EOY Banquet Video clips can end up in the EOY Banquet Presentation Waiver Form: You send = Grant us permission to use it Any media sent cannot contain the following: No profanity No unsportsmanlike conduct No coarse language Litmus Test: Can you show this to parents and the public?

  18. (7) Game Reaction Teammates, fans, or dugout reaction to a highlight reel play
  19. (8) Slow Motion & Time-lapse Let us know to slow it / speed it up. We will not guess.

  25. Short Testimonies & Sharing Keep it under 30 seconds Keep it positive and encouraging. Be concise. Do not blurt out paragraphs. Be relaxed. Do not be nervous and stutter. If you have blooper testimonies, send the best one (please do not send your first 20 takes) Can share about past seasons or current season. Suggestions to share 

  31. Photography NO-NOs No huge files Send your good ones. Do not send 10,000. Delegate to avoid duplicate sending No filters (ie. Instragram) No over editing No watermarks When all else fails: Use Common Sense!
  32. Video Guidelines Your emails should look similar to above or we delete it Direct attach. Link it. Zip it. Must be publicly accessible mov/wmv/avi/m4v/mpeg4. If we can’t play it = won’t use it Add team or player information if no context. See Media Guideline for complete details & instructions
  33. Video NO-NOs Send highlights only. Not the entire game. Send your good ones. Do not send 10,000 videos. Delegate to avoid duplicate sending. Do not upload on YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, etc. No filters No over editing No watermarks No sounds effects or background music When all else fails: Use Common Sense!
