  1. Week 5, Term 3, Room 4 READING HOMEWORK WRITING SELF MANAGING TASKS MATHS MISCELLANEOUS “MUST DO’S” SCIENCE MRS. WILSON

  2. READING There are four ‘Must Do’ tasks this week. Reading with your group Follow up activities based on ‘Blooms’ Thinking Listening Post Journal Story – pt 4 activity sheets in filing cabinet on wiki. Hard copy in red folder. Follow up activity from Listening Post – write up in your reading activities book. HOME

  3. WRITING There are six ‘must do’s’ for Writing this week. Each writing group will work with a teacher once this week. Follow up activity, to be done after working with the Teacher. Friday Formal Journal Entry and Goal Setting. Publish your Modelling Dough Recipe. Word of the day and Sentence of the Day completed. Word Study card HOME

  4. MATHS Numeracy Groups based on Stages 5 to 7 for Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages. Work will be group based and written on whiteboard. • TOPIC WORK • We will be looking at Statistics and Probability. • Mrs Wilson will take Statistics • Mrs Neilson will take Probability • Teachers will present tasks in class sessions. HOME

  5. MISCELLANEOUS These are tasks you need to complete this week in school time: 1.’ Change your library book. You must keep one in your desk at school and should have another one at home. 2. Master your times tables knowledge – accuracy and speed of recall. 3. Learn how to use x-cell for Maths statistical work. You will need to enter data into a table and sort graphs. HOME

  6. HOMEWORK Glue in this weeks Current Events Quiz. We will mark on Friday. Copy down your 10-15 spelling words. Write out the definition for each word. Make sure you have dated your page and ruled off. Get the Teacher to sign it. HW set on Monday and due Friday. HOME

  7. SCIENCE Put data from light experiment into power point or x-cell and produce graphs.
