  1. We Serve a RISEN Savior! “…but the angel said, ‘Don't be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn't here! He is risen from the dead!’” - Mark 16:6

  2. If Jesus is resurrected, then everything He said about Himself is TRUE! But the Jewish leaders demanded, “What are you doing? If God gave you authority to do this, show us a miraculous sign to prove it.” “All right,” Jesus replied. “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” “What!” they exclaimed. “It has taken forty-six years to build this Temple, and you can rebuild it in 3 days?” But when Jesus said “this temple,” he meant his own body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered he had said this, and they believed both the Scriptures and what Jesus had said. -John 2:18-22

  3. If Jesus is resurrected, we, too, shall be raised! "And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you." - Romans 8:11

  4. If Jesus is resurrected, we will be given heavenly rewards! "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." - John 5:28, 29

  5. Imputation • The righteousness that was his through his perfect obedience to the Father in his complete obedience to the Law is imputed, given, to us. In short, our sins were given to Jesus. His righteousness was given to us.

  6. Imputation "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." - 2 Cor. 5:21

  7. Sending The truth of the imputation of God's righteousness into us is such good news that, after He rose, Jesus' last command was to spread this gospel throughout the whole world! "Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

  8. Say “Hineni” to the Great Commission! "Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?“ I said, "Here I am. Send me.” - Is. 6:8

  9. Christ turns Victims into Victors! • As the Titanic went down, 2nd Officer Lightoller jumped into the water and was able to swim to the last life-boat, which he himself had loaded. • Lightoller helped all the survivors out before he climbed to safety himself, becoming the last Titanic survivor taken aboard the Carpathia.

  10. Risking loss to fulfill the Great Commission! No-one should be so quick and willing to rescue others as one who has been rescued himself!

  11. Entrance "Then Jesus uttered another loud cry and breathed his last. And the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom."

  12. Entrance… " So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most… And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.“ - Heb. 4:16; Heb. 10:19

  13. No more…! • To Mary, He said, Do not be afraid! • To His disciples He said, Do not be confused… • To Thomas He said, Do not doubt, but be believing! • To us He says, Blessed are all of those who believe without seeing!

  14. The Meaning of Easter… • R = Resurrection • I = Imputation • S = Sending • E = Entrance • N = No more doubt or fear!

  15. We serve a RISEN Savior! I serve a risen Savior; He's in the world today. I know that He is living, whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, And just the time I need Him He's always near. Chorus: He lives! He lives! Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives! He lives! Salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. In all the world around me I see His loving care, And though my heart grows weary I never will despair. I know that He is leading, thro' all the stormy blast; The day of His appearing will come at last. Chorus Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian! Lift up your voice and sing Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King! The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find, None other is so loving, so good and kind. Chorus
