Join us for the April 2008 library staff update, where we celebrate our accomplishments and share our vision for the future. Highlights include the successful completion of the RBC Information Commons, the renovation of the Porter Library's third floor, and the integration of new RFID technology. We'll discuss our ongoing financial challenges, staffing updates, and the Sixth Decade Plans focusing on enhancing the student experience, improving library spaces, and initiating e-initiatives. Together, we will continue to grow and adapt to support our campus community.

Accomplishments • Campaign Waterloo – raised close to $7 M
Accomplishments • Constructed the RBC Information Commons and the new look of the Davis main floor • Created the Sims Silent Study area in Davis and added new study carrels and chairs
Accomplishments • Provided new public and staff workstations in all locations • Renovated the 3rd floor of Porter including replacing all study carrels and creating the Betty Sims Reading Room
Accomplishments • Created the Musagetes Library
Accomplishments • Installed an RFID and Collection Management System in both Davis and Porter
Accomplishments • Equipped the Adaptive Technology Centre with new furnishings and equipment • Enhanced accessibility by retrofitting the Porter public elevators and beginning to replace range end signs • Installed glass display cabinets in the entrance to Special Collections
Accomplishments • Kresge Challenge – received the largest grant ever awarded to a Canadian Library
