  2. What is Energy? Energy is the ability to do work. By Mrs. Deringer

  3. Where does Energy Come From? Almost all energy, comes from the Sun. The Sun warms our planet and makes plants grow. By Mrs. S. Deringer

  4. Plants make their own Energy. Plants don’t need to go to the supermarket to get their food. They can make their own food through a process known as photosynthesis. By Mrs. Deringer

  5. Where do we get our energy from? You get your energy from eating plants, or by eating other animals like which have fed off plants. By Mrs. Deringer

  7. What are fossil fuels? Fossil fuels were made millions of years ago from plant life and microscopic organisms’ remains. The three primary fossil fuels are . . . . . petroleum (oil) Natural Gas Coal

  8. Making Electricity This high pressure steam is used to spin huge turbines which turn, generators. You can use fossil fuels to make electricity. Each can be burned to heat water. To create steam at really high pressure. By Mrs. Deringer

  10. Natural Gas Long, long time ago, the plants in the sea died and were buried under the sand. After millions of years, believe it or not, with pressure and heat, they turned into natural gas and petroleum. Heating Fuel
