Are You Contracting with a For-Profit Company? • Section 212 of the Older American’s Act requires VDA to approve all service agreements entered into “with a profitmaking organization to carry out the provisions of this Act”. • Check the Profit status of each contractor on the individual services pages: • FP for For-Profit; • NFP for Not-For-Profit.

  3. Area Plan Demographics Area Plan Part II – Objectives and Strategies Use the 2000 Census: VDA Demographic Information for Area Plans Report

  4. AIM Report VA106 Select NAPIS Group Summary for all Title III Services This report will be available at the end of May.

  5. Targeting Objectives Total must be the sum of White, American Indian/Native, Asian, Black/African American, and Other.

  6. Targeting Objectives Adult Day Care

Area Plan Waivers • Waiver To Provide a Direct Service • Waiver For An Alternative Cost Sharing / Fee For Service Scale • Waiver For Cost Sharing / Fee For Service For Older American Act Programs – VDA can not waive cost sharing for General Fund Dollars. • Waiver To Provide Priority Services • Waiver To Request Carryover Of Funds Done at the end of the year

  9. Cost Sharing/Fee For Service Policy Each AAA must have their own Cost Sharing Policy. You must know what your policy says to complete the area plan accurately.
