Program board, 17 Oct 2011 • Welcome / additional issues (HD) • Overview of courses for fall 2011 and spring 2012 (ok, KK/HD) • Overview of the syllabus for the various courses (seems to be available here: http://www.uib.no/emne/GEOFxxx, where xxx is the course number) (ElinS/HD) • Overview of learning outcome ("læringsutbyttebeskrivelser") for the various courses (ok, KK/HD) • New text books being/to be considered? (all) • Collecting the above information on a easily accessible web-site (if not already available somewhere) (HD) • Teaching language (KK/HD) • Strengthening of the mathematics/fluid dynamic background of the students (TS/HD) • Discussion about the formulation, evaluation and mark settings of exams (HD) • Wish for an additional projection screen in Auditorium A (HD) • Proposal for purchasing a mobile turntable for geophysical fluid dynamics classroom demonstration, primarily for GEOF110, but can likely be used in other courses as well (price ca 30kNOK, all included) (HD) • Social student happenings/gatherings (TS) • Set dates for forthcoming board meetings (HD) • Other issues • English-Norwegian dictionary for geophysical fluid dynamics (HD)
