Role of the School • We are… the common learning service provider for the Public Service of Canada, all across Canada. • We help… ensure that all public service employees have the knowledge and skills they need to deliver results for Canadians. • We provide… one-stop access to learning, leadership, strategic change, management and professional development opportunities to better equip you to do your job, to master your job, and to prepare for your next job.

  3. CSPS & GCDOCS • The School aims to be the central learning provider for GCDOCS basic needs. • Preparing departments for GCDOCS includes: • Training on how to use – basic and advanced levels • Renewal of IM curriculum to align with new IM competencies • Support for implementation • Change management • Awareness raising • Integration with department-specific needs • Our goal: • To focus on common learning needs • Free up departments to spend time/resources on organization specific needs.

Courses Virtual Classroom GCDOCS • GCDOCS Fundamentals • Fostering the Use of GCDOCS • Managing the Transition to GCDOCS • Advanced GCDocs (Fall 2013) IM • Record Keeping for All Public Servants • Information Management – Personal Awareness and Capacity Test • Suite of courses for IM Community Online

Implementation Support • Series of offerings aimed to assist departments mitigate their project risks at each phase of their GCDocs project life-cycle • Offerings include: • Project Management Course • 2 to 5 day interventions to assist departments prepare their change management plan • Half day workshops on specific topics such as: • Change Communications • Monitoring Transition • Optimizing Engagement Efforts

  6. Other Activities • Managing GCDOCS Training Environment • Based on “gold standard” • Awareness / Information • Armchair Discussions • Other learning options as required • Providing Advice • Sharing lessons learned from our GCDOCS implementation with other departments
