Age when Assaulted 6 through 13 Current age: 51 Male I was sexually abused by people I trusted…a family member Age when Assaulted 23 Current Age: 58 I was raped in my dorm room at university Age when assaulted 8 through 12 Current age: 34 I was sexually abused by my older brother You never know someone's story unless you walk a mile in their shoes

Is compromised of over 18 agencies member agencies and community members Vision: Sexual Assault Sexual Abuse- No More Sexual Assault Response Committee • Has been an active committee for 15 years • Provides services, supports and a voice for victims and their families affected by sexual assault/ abuse

  4. What is Sexual Assault? Any unwanted sexual act done by one person to another or sexual activity without one person’s consent or voluntary agreement. Examples: Kissing, fondling, sexually touched, or forced to have intercourse. Does anyone know the age of consent?

  5. Who is Sexually Assaulted The Stats show that: 1 in 4 women 1 in 6 men No matter what age, gender or sexuality, Anyone can be sexually Assaulted.

  6. Why Men Walk? Because they care

  7. Because I was challenged to walk

  8. Because Men know Survivors

  9. Because Men want to have a voice

  10. Because This isn't just a women’s issue

  11. Because I was Man enough to walk in her shoes

  12. How to Register Pre-registration is encouraged There is a limited amount of shoes and giveaways When…. One week prior from May 28-31, or on June 1 Or you can register on the day of the walk JUNE 2, 2012 from 10:00-1:30pm

  13. You can also decorate your own shoes

  14. What can the women do? You can walk with the men and support them by cheering them on Volunteer
