  2. PRELIMINARY OBSERVATIONS: 1. God wants us to finish WELL. 2. We want to finish WELL. WELL. 3. Many don’t finish 4. The ones that don’t finish well predominantly lose it in the game, not in the game. MIDDLE END

  3. SIX BARRIERS TO ENDING WELL: BARRIER # 1 PRIDE There is a proper pride in recognizing who you are and operating out of what God’s done for you, but there is also the danger of an inordinate pride, a pridefulness.

  4. BARRIER # 2 ABUSE OF POWER It happens when leaders operate unjustly or unfairly with people or because of their position they start taking privileges or they influence people wrongly. BARRIER # 3 LACK OF WITH FINANCES INTEGRITY This ranges from outright embezzling to using funds that are earmarked for something else, poor accounting etc.

  5. BARRIER # 4 ISSUES FAMILY All the way from divorce to dysfunctional relationships. BARRIER # 5 ISSUES SEXUAL Adultery (real or imagined), pornography and other sexually related issues.

  6. PLATEAUING BARRIER # 6 Some plateauing is good. If you’ve been through something intense, it allows you to step back but over the long haul, you’ve got to move on and off the plateau.
