Solve the problems in class. • Bring the finished packet to the computer lab. • In the computer lab you will use the drawing tools to create the shape described in the problem • If a problem is a perimeter question then you will type in the perimeter formula but if it is an Area problem you will type the formula for finding the area of htat shape. • You will also enter the solution to the problem • Personalize your project by changing the background, font color, style, size, etc.

  3. The perimeter of a rectangle is 44 in. If the width of the rectangle is 5 in., what is its length? ? 5 in. 5 in. ? Perimeter = add all sides 5 + 5 = 10 44-10= 34 34 divided by 2 = 17 Check: 17 + 17 + 5 + 5 = 44 

  4. The perimeter of a square is 52 cm. Find its length.

  5. The perimeter of a rectangle is 52 yd. Find its width if its length is 15 yd.

  6. The perimeter of a rectangle is 48 in. If the length of the rectangle is two times its width, what is the area of the rectangle?
