Community Service Initiatives by Our High School Baseball Team

Our high school baseball team engaged in community service by raking leaves and assisting local residents with odd jobs. Following a recent flood, I contributed by cleaning basements and disposing of damaged materials. During winter, I also helped shovel snow for those in need. As a senior member, I aimed to set a positive example for younger teammates by actively pursuing various small projects. Engaging with neighbors and distributing flyers helped identify more opportunities to serve. Witnessing the gratitude from those we helped was truly rewarding, reinforcing my commitment to community service.

  2. Overview • Our High School baseball team volunteered to rake leaves and perform various odd jobs around town for local residents.

  3. Overview • There was a recent flood in town and I assisted in clean basements and throwing away damaged materials. • I also helped shoveled snow in the winter.

  4. Leadership • As a senior member of the team it was my job to set a good example for the younger guys and be very active by taking on as many small projects as I could. • I also helped find various projects we could do by talking to neighbors and distributing flyers.

  5. My Experience • I noticed that the people were very grateful after we performed each task. • Giving back to the community gives me a sense of fulfillment and I know I will continue to serve my community throughout my life.
