4. Wooden bins: description and technical specs • Capacity = 300 gal • Net weight = 1533 kg (3379.6 lb) • Gross weight = 1614 kg (3558.2 lb) • The lateral sheets and lids are built with playwood to give them mechanical resistance. • All wooden components are perfectly clean and dry . • The bins full with juice can be moved with forklift trucks and can be put into a pile up to 5 including the bin in the bottom. • Inside the bins is placed a 3 layers bag made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) with a thickness of 80 µm each one. The HDPE bags are protected with air bubble polyethylene sheets and expanded polystyrene pieces. • The pallets are made of poplar wood. The wood passes a thermal treatment (acording to NIMS15).
