  2. Purpose Purpose: The purpose of this presentation is to educated our classmates about the different types of students and how they learn and process information. This presentation will provide our audience with how using communication tools will benefit each type of student.

  3. Objectives At the conclusion of this presentation, the learner will be able to: • List three types of learners; • Define the types of learners; • Explain what communication device is most appropriate for educating students.

  5. Characteristic of Each Type of Learner A visual learner are those who learn through seeing things. A visual learner: • Is good at spelling but forget names • Needs to study in quite • Needs time to process information • Likes color and fashion • Dreams in color • Understands and likes charts • Is good with sign language Reference: 1

  6. Auditory Learners Auditory learners are those who learn best through hearing things. Some characteristics are: • Likes to read to self out loud • Not afraid to speak in class • Likes oral reports • Is good at explaining • Remembers names • Notices sound effects in movies • Enjoys music • Is good at grammar and foreign language • Reads slowly • Follows spoken directions Reference: 1

  7. Kinesthetic Learners Kinesthetic Learners learn best by experiencing / doing things. Typical characteristics are: • Is good at sports • Can’t sit still for long • Is not good at spelling • Does not have great handwriting • Likes science lab • Studies with loud music • Likes role playing • Takes breaks while studying Reference 1
