Type 1 Response: Have you…..?September 5, 2012 Answer each question in a sentence that begins “I have…/I have not…. • Turned in your personal alphabet? • Completed both summer reading tests? • Turned in your essential quote activity? • Completed any reading since yesterday? • Completed your personal reading inventory?

  3. HOMEWORK for ALL CLASSES DUE—Tuesday, September 5 • READING WORKSHOP continues at home tonight—18 pages or 30 minutes. • Complete your Personal Reading Inventory. • It is a graded homework assignment.

Reading Inventory—PART TWO (slide 1) Due on Monday, September 10 • You have received a group of questions, some of which resemble the same questions you answered in your personal reading inventory. • Find an adult whom you consider to be a “reader”. • Use the questions to interview him or her, and on this sheet record what you learn.

  5. Reading Inventory—PART TWO (slide 2) Due on Monday, September 10 • Once you have completed the interview, compose a type 2 response between 200 and 400 words that describes this person as a reader. • You should include the details gained in the interview. Also you can describe how the person you interviewed resembles (or does not resemble) you as a reader. • Type 2 assignments should be word process (12 point academic font) and double space, or must skip lines and write in ink.
