The 2010 roadmap for Sudan showcases significant achievements in malaria morbidity and mortality reduction. By September 2010, over 7 million long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) and nearly 6 million artemisinin combination therapies (ACTs) were distributed. Despite these advances, challenges remain, including timely availability of commodities, complex funding processes, and the management of insecticide resistance. The roadmap includes collaborative efforts from UNICEF, WHO, and other organizations to enhance health system strengthening and capacity building, aiming for sustainable public health outcomes.
