Engine Identification • VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) • Post 1970 models - located on the drivers side dash (visible through the windshield) • Pre 1970 model – usually located on driver’s door jamb • Engine I.D. number – either cast or stamped into the engine block (use an interchange manual to decode)
