  9. 3 Talk2M Service

VPN VPN Talk2M Service overview • The Talk2M Server is always connected to the Internet • User logs on to his Talk2M Account • User Select in his Account which plant/machine he wants connect to • The Teleservice Device will now make a connection to the Talk2M Server • When both participants are logged on to the Talk2M Server, a VPN connection will be realised between the User and the plant/machine Internet connection Talk2M connection VPN connection Notice the flow direction Internet

  11. The Talk2M services today - Talk2M = one single powerful remote access platform - improved reliability and scalability - eCatcher 3 = one single user interface for all Talk2M services - a free offer combined with a premium service, which is not possible with the old Talk2M Free platform

  12. Talk2M Free users ? • 1. Upgrade to Free+ to benefit from: • Multiple users • Connections reporting (pdf, csv or xml format) through “My Talk2M” web portal • 1 GB volume / month included • Simplified upgrade path to Pro • 2. How to upgrade ? • Download eCatcher 3 and create a new account • Register your teleservice devices into the new Free+ account • 3. How to register my teleservice devices remotely ? • Use the “Remote Wizard” function of the teleservice

  14. Talk2M Go users ? • 1. Your Talk2M Go account will be automatically converted to a Free + account • 2. The “Free +” is a free service of Talk2M • 3. The remaining credit will be available for the wake-up SMS • 4. What does it change for me ? • 1 concurrent connection instead of 3 • 1 GB volume/month included • 5. How to benefit from the Free + ? • Download eCatcher 3 • Sign in with your current Talk2M Go credentials

  15. Talk2M Pro users ? • 1. No change for all Talk2M Pro users • 2. The Pro service is available through the new eCatcher 3 • 3. Download eCatcher 3 and benefit from: • A more user-friendly dashboard • Connections reporting (pdf, csv or xml format) through “My Talk2M” web portal

What‘s new in 2011 ? • VPN now also with TM-E devices => from Q2/2011 • Via Firmware Update for all TM-E : 900-2Exxx • Not possible on old TM-E models: 900-1Exxx (different Hardware) • comparable with the 2101 series of eWON • TM-E with T2M can compete with the cheapest devices of MB-Connectline • More then 4000 Devices are using the T2M Free Service • Midyear 2011 T2M Free will be switched to T2M Free+, based on the Talk2M Pro Platform (same server and reliability) • Since Firmware Version 5.7 a rollback mechanism exists, allowing to go back when a switch to Free+ is not working ! (same issue when switching from Free to Pro) • T2M Free has no garanteed bandwith and max. 1 concurrent user per teleservice device

  18. What‘s new in 2011 ? Distribution model of eWON stays the same for now… • Product purchase: if an eWON distributor exists in the same territory, the VIPA distributor will pass through the eWON distributor for product supplies.  If NO eWON distributor exists, the VIPA distributor can purchase products to VIPA HQ Germany or eWON Belgium directly

Talk2M Pro : the concurrent connection variable • - A concurrent connection • The number of concurrent connections defines the number of users who are allowed to make a connection to a teleservice device at the same time • - Example: • A Talk2M Pro account with 10 users and 2 concurrent connections. In this case, only two users can be connected at the same time to several teleservice devices • - Bundle Prices: • In near future, bundle prices are to be expected for 3-5-10 concurrent connections. Similar to the competition MB-Connect and Innominate

  22. Talk2M Pro: Advantages • 1. No more price barrier to step into Talk2M Pro • Can start with one concurrent connection only • From 780 € / year only to become a Talk2M Pro user • 2. Guarantee of services (SLA) • 3. Predictable Talk2M Pro cost for OEM • Budget is independent on the number of teleservice devices registered • 4. You won’t make money on selling Talk2M Pro, but think about the number of teleservice devices that can be sold with it • 5. The support overhead is kept to a minimum, since the same software is needed for Talk2M Free+

Don’t forget to mention the ACCOUNT name, Company Name and technical contact on your order • - 3 Talk2M Pro packages can be ordered • VIPA SW307B1Z0 (TM59001) – Talk2M Pro - account installation fee • VIPA SW317B2E0 (TM50001) – Talk2M Pro – fill / refill pack for 1 concurrent connection • VIPA SW317B3E0 (TM51001) – Talk2M Pro – 1 additional concurrent connection • - The ordering is managed by the local distributor/reseller
