  2. Main Menu - Word • Set the Margins • Spell Check • Save to Personal Hard Drive • Print • Change the Font Type • Change the Font Size • Bold, Italics or Underline • Aligning Text • Move Text Around Within a Document • Find and Replace • Double Line Spacing

  3. Set the Margins Click on File Choose Page Setup

  4. Set the Margins Change the Left and Right margins to the measurements you require and click OK

  5. Spell Check Click on Tools and choose Spelling and Grammar

  6. Spell Check If you wish to change a word, click on the Suggestion you wish to use and click Change

  7. Spell Check If you do not want to change the word, click Ignore

  8. Save to Personal Hard Drive Click on File and Choose Save As

  9. Save to Personal Hard Drive Select the disk drive that you want to save your work to (H:)

  10. Save to Personal Hard Drive Enter the File name that you want your file to have and click Save

  11. Print Click on File and choose Print

  12. Print Enter the Number of copies you want to print and click OK

  13. Change the Font Type Select the text you wish to change

  14. Change the Font Type The standard font is Times New Roman. Select a different font from the list

  15. Change the Font Size Select the text you want to make a different size

  16. Change the Font Size Select a different number from the drop-down list

  17. Bold, Italics or Underline Select the text that you want to make bold, italics or underline

  18. Bold, Italics or Underline Select the button B for bold, I for italics or U for underline

  19. Aligning Text You can make each paragraph you type line up: Left (Align Left) Right (Align Right) In the Centre (Centred) Or left and right (Fully Justified)

  20. Aligning Text Select the paragraph you want to Align

  21. Aligning Text Select the button on the tool bar for the alignment you want Left Centre Right Justify

  22. Move Text Around Within a Document Select the text you wish to move

  23. Move Text Around Within a Document Click on Edit and choose Cut

  24. Move Text Around Within a Document Move the cursor to where you want to put the text and click on Edit and choose Paste

  25. Find and Replace Click on Edit and choose Replace

  26. Find and Replace In the box next to Find what type the word that you want to change

  27. Find and Replace In the box next to Replace with, type the word you want to change it to, then select Replace All

  28. Double Line Spacing Select the text you want to change to double line spacing

  29. Double Line Spacing Click on Format and choose Paragraph

  30. Double Line Spacing In the drop-down list next to Line spacing, select Double, then clickOK

  37. Adjust Column Width Hover the mouse over the two columns until the double headed arrow appears

  38. Adjust Column Width • Left Click and drag the column to the desired width

  39. Delete a Column Right click on the column you wish to delete Choose Delete

  40. Bold, Italics, Underline Select the data you wish to change to bold, italic or underline

  41. Bold, Italics, Underline Select the button B for bold, Ifor italics or Ufor underline

  42. Align Left, Centre or Right Select the data you wish to align left, centre or right

  43. Align Left, Centre or Right Left Centre Right Select the button on the tool bar for the alignment you want

  44. Change the Page Setup to Landscape Click on File and chose Page Setup

  45. Change the Page Setup to Landscape Choose Landscape Click OK

  46. Format Cells to £ Select the figures you wish to change to £ Click on format and choose Cells

  47. Format Cells to £ ChooseCurrency ChooseSymbol Click ok

  48. Set the Number of Decimal Places Select the figures you wish to change Click on format and Choose Cells

  49. Set the Number of Decimal Places Click on Number Choose how many Decimal places you want Click OK

  50. Display the Formulae Click on Tools and Choose Options
