  2. What is it? • The total set of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an organization, event, product or person

  3. Solar Panels • Solar panels are devices that convert light into electricity • A solar panel is a collection of solar cells spread over a large area can work together to provide enough power to be useful.

  4. How does solar panels help the environment? • solar electricity is that absolutely no carbon byproducts are created by the power generation • No emissions are released • The power lasts as long as the sunlight

Cost of Solar panels • $6 to $9 per watt of electricity that the solar panels produce • a full solar system can cost as much as $40,000 • Most systems are smaller • 430 kWh per month can save around $50 per month in utilities • In December, these number fall to around $30 per month • They can rise to $60 or more in summer months especially in sunny climates.
