  2. Inspiration for Invention • My dad put up Christmas lights, and had to climb up and down the ladder and constantly adjust it. • I surveyed the family to see whether there were everyday problems that they wished could be solved. • My dad mentioned his experience with the Christmas lights, and I thought it would be cool if I could solve that problem Bad idea!!!! Dangerous!!!!

  3. What the Invention Does • My invention isn’t just an ordinary pair of stilts—these stilts raise and lower ON COMMAND! • Just strap them on and control the height with a remote control • Using hydraulic cylinders, these stilts can raise and lower using compressed air and oil Foot Rest Hydraulic Cylinder (lift) Stabilizer Sample Model

  4. What the Invention Costs Materials: $680 • Basic manually adjustable stilts: $150 • Hydraulic cylinders: $500 • Remote controller: $30 Labor: $900 • 20 hours welding and assembly ($45/hour) Profit: $100 Total Cost: $1,680 Turbo Stilts are a steal at JUST $1,680. For a fraction of the cost of a car, you could be standing above all of your friends and neighbors!!! Get your Turbo Stilts while they are nice and fresh!

  5. Survey Results Survey Results (10 people): • 100% of people surveyed said that they would be interested in Turbo Stilts • 80% said they would not buy Turbo Stilts for $1,680. But they would buy if they were priced between $300-$500 Conclusions: • I need to figure out a way to reduce the weight and lower the price in order to be successful in selling Turbo Stilts
