Which number is greater: 0.357 or 0.359? • Step 1: To compare decimals, start at the left and compare digits in the same place. • Step 2: If corresponding digits are the same, move on to the right. 0.357 0.359 Step 3: Once you find two corresponding digits that are different, the larger one belongs to the greater number. Therefore, 0.357<0.359.

Which decimal is the greatest: 2.53 or 2.49? • Step 1: To compare decimals, start at the left and compare digits in the same place. • Step 2: If corresponding digits are the same, move on to the right. 2.53 2.49 • Step 3: Once you find two corresponding digits that are different, the larger one belongs to the greater number. • 2.53 > 2.49 Example 1.

If corresponding digits are the same, move on to the right. 2.71 2.60 2.65 • Step 3: Once you find two corresponding digits that are different, the larger one belongs to the greater number. • 2.60 < 2.65 < 2.71 Example 4.
