  2. Animals and Interesting Facts • White-capped noddy-untidy nests and produces waste that gives many nutrients to the ground • 1. The coral reefs can sometimes be called a “rain forest of the ocean. • 2. Coral reefs can start to grow in waters that are lower in nutrients, because they will recycle the nutrients that fish give off and the coral gives off. • 3. Most of the coral reefs around the world will not survive in water that is colder than 61-68 degrees F.

  3. Human Impact • Many humans need to be more careful with how they treat the coral reefs around them, because we need to make sure that we keep our coral reefs around for a long time. • Deforestation has been a problem for the coral, because since the trees are not able to hold in the dirt, the dirt will and up being eroded into the ocean, and in which case the dirt will block out the sunlight that the coral needs to live. • Also, the fertilizers that many people use, contain many harmful chemicals in them, that will be eroded into the oceans by the streams and rivers if there was too much of it being put on the plants. • Global warming plays an impact on the corals lifetime, because since global warming makes the temperature of the ocean to go up the coral is not able to withstand the temperature and causes the coral to bleach and end up dying.
