Public Schools of North Carolina: K-12 Curriculum and Instruction/NC Standard Course of Study • North Carolina Public Schools Arts Ed Curriculum • It establishes and supports the need for “accountability of and in arts education.” • North Carolina puts an emphasis on using literacy in education to connect all of the different arts together and lists several elements that make this happen. • The website also gives examples of different tools for these elements as well as how to implement them.

It also • Gives strong examples on why this is important for the continued education of K-12 students. • Literacy is supported through choreographing and performing and appreciating the dance.
