Blessed are those that are hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

TORAH: Genesis 12:1-4 (NIV) The Call of Abram 12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;and all peoples on earth  will be blessed through you.” 4 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. Was God Happy about this Choice? YES or NO ? The LORD ask Abram to leave his _______________ his_____________ and his______________ household. The LORD promised Abram (4) things. Fear TORAH: Genesis 12:10-12 (NIV) Abram in Egypt 10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe. 11 As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai , “I know what a beautiful woman you are. 12When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live. What was Abram afraid would happen to him? (Circle Answer) TORAH: Genesis 12:18-20 (NIV) 18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram. “What have you done to me?” he said. “Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!” 20 Then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his way, with his wife and everything he had. Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.” 10 Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan toward Zoar was well watered, like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company: 12 Abram lived in the land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of the plain and pitched his tents near Sodom. Choose which way

TORAH: Genesis 13:14-17 (NIV) 14 The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.” THE LORD asked Abram to look where _________ and __________, to the ________ and __________. What was the LORD’s promise for all that Abram saw? (Circle Answer) Abram’s offspring (children, grandchildren…) will be like dust of the earth. Now Abram was living near the great trees of Mamre the Amorite, a brother of Eshkol and Aner, all of whom were allied with Abram. 1. Circle what happened to Abram’s nephew. WAR BETWEEN KINGS, ABRAM’S NEPHEW LOT KIDNAPPED! TORAH: Genesis 14:16-20 (NIV) 16 He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people. 18Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.20 And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything. Abram recovered all the ___________ and brought back his relative ___________ and his possessions, and the other________________. Then Abram received a blessing from Melchizedek king of Salem. HAFTARAH: Isaiah 41:8,10-13 (NIV) 8“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend,10So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 11 “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.12 Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them.Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all.13 For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right handand says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. GOD called Abram His Friend! Underline God’s Promises.
