  3. Election Calendar See handout August 12, 2014 – Primary Election day November 4, 2014 – General Election day May 20-June 3 – Early filing period open July 29-August 12 – Late filing period open June 27 – Absentee voting opens for primary September 19 – Absentee voting opens for general

Legislative Changes 2013 • Staff as part of AB board do not need to declare party affiliation • Minimum of 3 election judges, except state general minimum 4 • Precincts with < 500 registered voters, minimum 3 for state general • Voucher limit reduced to 8 • Recount threshold reduced to ¼ of 1% for some offices • Election investigation process • ePollbook roster pilot project • Online voter registration, absentee application (UOCAVA)

Election Administrator Training • To administer an election, clerks must complete election administration training course and remain certified • Initial certification – 5 hours • Biennial certification – 4 hours • Training Certificates issued by county • Materials will be available online for review
