Ron Tzur • Profile: • BS - Mathematics and Geography, 1986, University of Haifa • MS - Mathematics Education, 1992, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology • PhD - Mathematics Education, 1995, University of Georgia • Areas of Scholarly Interest: • His research interests include children's conceptions of mathematical concepts and conceptually-based and culturally-relevant pedagogy for teaching children about mathematics. • He has previously held faculty positions at Penn State University and North Carolina State University. He has been appointed a Professor of Mathematics Education here at Purdue. However, he will delay coming to Purdue full-time in order to serve as a program officer at the National Science Foundation beginning this month. Tonya Agnew • Profile: • BA, 2001—Visual Communication Design with minors in Communication, English and Psychology—Purdue University • Areas of Scholarly Interest: • Color, Design, Communication • Personal Interests: • Home improvement projects, gardening, photography, my kids’ sport and school activities, travel • Has lived in Lafayette since 1994. Originally from Dayton, Ohio • Recent Experience: • Purdue Convocations-Graphic and Web Designer Director of Communications Development Office

Gloria Marlatt • Profile: • Personal Interests: • Cooking, Baking, Reading, Watching movies • Was adopted last year by a blind, deaf stray cat that I named Frank • Frank and Gloria moved to Lafayette the week she started working in COE • Recent Experience: • Worked for a major Insurance company for 32 years “out east” • Secretary for the Senior Directors of Development, Office of Advancement, Purdue Development Assistant Development Office

Sherrelyn Meyer • Profile: • BA - 1976 – Elementary Education, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK • MS - 1978 - Elementary Education, Indiana University (IUPUI) • Areas of Scholarly Interest: • Undergraduate minor in Learning Disabilities • Personal Interests: • Reading; gardening – vegetables, flowers, herbs; cross-stitching; quilting; playing piano and guitar. • A Purdue Boilermaker! – according to her husband. Her grandfather was a ME professor at Purdue. Her parents, husband, and one son are Purdue graduates. Currently has one son who is a Purdue junior. • Grew up in Noblesville, IN. Moved here to teach school. Taught for six years before becoming a stay at home mom. Raised two sons.
